I really should be studying and writing papers this week...as finals are sooooo soon...but somehow I get sucked into anime and other shows and youtube and it's terrible. Worst procrastinator ever? I think so. Because I don't even spend my time doing things I like. I'll watch boring things, or just sit and stare off into space. But Wolf's Rain is a good anime. This is my third time watching it I think (yeah...watching it a third time instead of writing that theology paper...I'm telling you, my procrastination skills are in full gear).

a slow weekend.

金曜日に　へやで 日本語のしゅくだいをして、ねて、そうじをしました。 土曜日二 学食であさごはんをたべて、ともだちとあいました。そして、ごごにじに ともだちに でんわをかけました。 たいいかくんにうんどうをしにいきました。 りゅうで えいがをみました。 日曜日じゅうちじにおきました。そして、学食に朝ごはんを食べに行きました。さんじはんにせんたくをして、ぶんがくのほんをよみました。

a chill weekend.

週末、わたしはりょでともだちとえいがをみました。えいがは おもしろかったでした。そして、たのしかったでした。がくしょくであさごはんをたべます。がくしょくはいそがしかったです。しゅうまつは とても ひまかったでｌた、でも つまらなくありませんでした。

Farly is big but it is also old. It is next to the dining hall. Outside of Farley are trees. Farley is right next to another dorm (BP). My dorm is near LaFortune (where I often go when I'm hungry or need to study...mostly hungry aha). I usually do my homework in my dorm.

My room is big but narrow (my roommate and I joke that it looks like a bowling alley...we should just clear it out and make it into one, ahaha). My bed is to the right of the room. I do my homework at my desk and my desk is next to my dresser. The television is in fromnt of the black futon. There are trees outside the windows. I don't have a bathroom but I do have a sink (I think we take it for granted that we have sinks in our rooms. Can you imagine having to brush your teeth or wash your face in the bathroom down the hall? That would be a pain).

This is the last anime I finished. I thought it was pretty good. It's basically a revenge story for a boy who wants to avenge his parents' deaths. He has made a pact with a demon who poses as his butler in order to aid him on this task.

Last week, I slept a lot in my room and watched tv at my parent's house (cause I'm that exciting, ahaha). Yesterday I went to Dave and Buster's and ate a hamburger (and spent a lot of money...that place makes you broke, I swear. It's basically an arcade place if you don't know. 5000 tickets for a bouncy ball...ridiculous). Today, I'm going to the supermarket and tomorrow I'm going back to my dorm.

Post Game Things

I hope everyone's post game day is going well. Things are pretty quiet around Farley Hall. Everyone's finishing homework and resting up mostly. I don't know about you, but I fell off the bleachers about three times trying to do the jig yesterday at the game (I blame the guy next to me who didn't know what he was doing, ahaha).

Also, as a random side note for anime watchers, did you guys know that they're playing Death Note again on Cartoon Network? I know they've ran that series before, but I was up pretty late last night and it came on at about 3 in the morning. And of course I watched it, even though I've probably seen the entire series four times through already, haha. And I watched it even though I prefer the Japanese sub over the English dub. O well, I couldn't help myself. :D

Learning Something New

I wanted to study Japanese for a couple of years now. My best friend got me hooked on anime and manga and the more I delved into different movies and series, the more I found myself fascinated with Japanese culture. I soon began to recognize different words to J-rock songs and dialogue from the characters in the shows I watched. Though Japanese may be one of the hardest languages to study, I am determined to learn the language not to fill school requirements, but to pursue a subject I am wholly interested in. I am finding that the work is difficult, but it is really rewarding as I'm slowly beginning to recognize the different characters and their sounds. I know I have a long way to go until I fully master Japanese, but I'm looking forward in becoming knowledgeable about the subject.
