Learning Something New

I wanted to study Japanese for a couple of years now. My best friend got me hooked on anime and manga and the more I delved into different movies and series, the more I found myself fascinated with Japanese culture. I soon began to recognize different words to J-rock songs and dialogue from the characters in the shows I watched. Though Japanese may be one of the hardest languages to study, I am determined to learn the language not to fill school requirements, but to pursue a subject I am wholly interested in. I am finding that the work is difficult, but it is really rewarding as I'm slowly beginning to recognize the different characters and their sounds. I know I have a long way to go until I fully master Japanese, but I'm looking forward in becoming knowledgeable about the subject.

Ohh, what kind of J-rock bands were you into? I love Japanese music, you see, haha. :D L'Arc-en-Ciel, Remioromen, Uverworld, Orange Range, Nightmare, Ellegarden, Asian Kung Fu Generation... Oh yes. (:

One of the few words in japanese I knew coming in to this class was from a j-pop song, it's called あおい うさぎ, which actually means blue rabbit. Weird song but I love it. I think it's from a japanese soap opera?

You said you liked Naruto. Yea the dubs are convenient but after a while i just solely ナルトを みます。 i dont know if what I did there was the appropriate use of にほんご。
